Was just browsing through the Toronto International Center website and came across an interesting show coming up on September 8th, 2010.
It is the South Asian Job Fair. The website for this show is:
http://www.southasianjobfair.com/
This will be at Hall #5, from 11am to 7pm at the International Centre in Mississauga.
If you are looking for a job I would strongly suggest going for this Job Fair and checking out what they have to offer. Please pass the word around to anyone you might know who would be interested!
If this is of any help to anyone, please let me know!!
Thanks,
Nal

Hi, I'm Carlos Barrera from Guayaquil-Ecuador.
I have gotten my PR docs and will be landing next year in Toronto.
Your blog has shown a different perspective and have given us (we are four: my wife, my son, 10, my daughter, 8, and me) hope. We're not rich and barely saved, and borrowed enough money for the proof of funds. In one of your posts you mentioned that if new immigrants want a low-pay job, they'll improve their live. That's us!
I'm an English teacher and I know I am doing this for my children, my salary here at home is not so high. I need 2 or 3 jobs to meet ends. We have no house and thanks God we don't rent, we live in my father-in-law's house. My kids deserve a better shot at life that's why we're moving to Canada.
You have a very neutral perspective and stick to what you have experienced and the info you have given about education and shopping (clothes, milk, etc.) is great. I have a much better picture of what life is like in Canada. Those little everyday things really help us prepare for life up there.
I have a very specific request. I want to ask you if you remember the time when you landed; what did they ask you for? Was it difficult? How did you feel? Did they ask you for the proof of funds in cash? And also would like to know more about the schools.
I will continue reading your posts.
Thanks.
Thanks.
